Emergency Ultrasound Clerkship

Arun Nagdev, MD
Director of Emergency Ultrasound
The Highland Hospital emergency ultrasound rotation offers medical students and interns the opportunity to learn how to integrate point-of-care ultrasound within the management of patients in the emergency department setting. Learning will primarily occur at the bedside, with the expectation that students/interns will spend the majority of the rotation performing ultrasound scans on patients within the Emergency Department. Weekly educational conferences will complement bedside teaching and provide an opportunity to learn how to critically analyze scientific articles. Asynchronous learning is encouraged. Highland Hospital was one of the pioneers in the use of point-of-care ultrasound and continues to push the boundaries of point-of-care ultrasound in the emergency care setting. We are excited to share our passion for emergency ultrasound and look forward to working with medical students.
