Highland representing at CSAM!
Last week our team went to the California Society of Addiction Medicine Conference in SF. We wanted to highlight some amazing Highlanders’ work from the conference. Our team had a great presence there including fellows, residents, externs and substance use navigators working together to author and present poster abstracts which garnered lots of interest at the conference.
Nicole Rodriguez (EM PGY1), Adam Woodruff (Bridge Substance Use Navigator) and Taylor Blair (HGH Summer Extern) gave a poster presentation on: “Integrating a Harm Reduction Community Partnership into a County Addiction Medicine Clinic” – authored by Nicole Rodriguez, Anisha Chauhan-Sharma, Adam Woodruff, Alexis Milligan, Taylor Blair, Guyton Harvey, Jadon Roberts (HGH Summer Extern), Brandon Richardson, Braunz Courtney, Megan Heeney, Carmen Lee and Andrew Herring.
Chloe Solomon (EM PGY4) represented the Opioid Stewardship and addiction medicine interest group with a poster for the abstract on Goals of Newly Developed Guidelines for Evidence-based and Equitable Pain Control authored by Chloe Solomon, Aravind Addepalli, Carmen Lee, Megan Heeney and Kay Lind.
Michelle Patregnani and Megan Heeney (our new Addiction Medicine Fellows) had poster presentations about work over the past year at the SPOT Clinic for an abstract authored by Kay Lind, Alex Ayala, Raghav Goyal, Elaine Dellinger and Megan Heeney.
Andrew Herring won the 2024 CSAM Vernelle Fox Award with his Bridge Co-founders!
